Finally! BSS had gotten another oddity! Sadie thought as she led the mare to the quarantine pen.
"Now, Rita. It's important that you do NOT touch the hotwire, ok? They'll knock you on your ass. It was originally a wood pen until some naughty stallions decided to tear it down to get to the mares, so we had to re-do it." Sadie told her as she opened the gate and led her in. "Don't worry, you'll fit in GREAT with the other Ratsus. We even have another oddity! You'll meet him in a couple weeks." Sadie said as she pat the mare on the neck and left the pen.
What is this strange place? Where am I? Rita thought to herself. She felt alone and terrified. She wanted to go back, but then again it wasn't much better where she came from either. She was kicked at, bit at, attacked....Unwanted...unaccepted... Maybe this would be better. A fresh start. The lady promised her she would fit in, maybe she was right? Rita let out a sigh and looked around. It was a nice place. Maybe she'd like it here.
Rita had just begun to relax when she heard hoofsteps approach her. She jumped.
"Who...who's there?" She asked, trying to hide the fear in her voice.
"Don't worry, I'm a secret agent. I'm here to help." another voice replied.
Rita let out a slight laugh. "Oh, really? And how are you here to help?"
Another horse stepped out. An oddity, just like her! I'll help by introducing myself, for startersHe smiled. "My names Rango, whats yours?"
"I'm Rita. Nice to meet you, Rango."
"Ah, so you're the new oddity! I've been dying to meet you. You'll really like it here, it's amazing! It's almost like being in the wild, except you occasionally get rode, but it's still pretty great! The other horses are really nice too. Well, some of the nordanners can be an ass, but mainly just Jet."
"I like the sounds of it already...maybe not the being in the wild part though..."
"Oh? And why's that?"
"I just came from there. I was kicked at, bitten, and chased away from my family. I would have died if this lady hadn't came along. Hey...what are you doing here? Aren't I supposed to be alone for two weeks? How did you get in here?"
Rango smiled"A secret agent never reveals his secrets" He said with a wink.
Rita smiled and couldn't help but blush. Rango was actually quite charming. Maybe she would like it here after all...Especially with the help of "Secret Agent Rango".
